Two strong partners NIVEA and Plan join forces to care & connect

NIVEA is one of the world’s largest and most trusted skincare brands and part of the German based Beiersdorf AG. Founded in 1882, today Beiersdorf is one of the leading international skincare companies with over 20,000 employees worldwide. From the beginning Beiersdorf and NIVEA have always been committed to caring- both for skin and for people.

Founded in 1937, Plan is one of the oldest and largest children’s development organisations in the world. Operating across 50 developing countries in Africa, the Americas and Asia, Plan works with children as well as their families, communities and governments to promote child rights and lift millions of children out of poverty.

Together, NIVEA & Plan want to ensure that children living in poverty enjoy the right to basic education by providing equal access to quality education. “We care & connect” is the joint project through which NIVEA and Plan are pursuing this goal. In developing countries, 70 million children do not attend school and those that do frequently drop out.  Poor quality education, inadequate school infrastructure, violence at school and discrimination are to blame. By investing in education, NIVEA and Plan want to help these children to reach their full potential – as individuals, members of their communities and citizens of the world.

Care - Caring for children by providing equal educational opportunities so they can realize their full potential. Care is the basis upon which this partnership is founded. It truly encapsulates the core values of both organisations.

Connect - Creating a global movement to support, foster and develop educational programmes for children worldwide.

In Ireland, NIVEA & Plan are working together to raise awareness and much needed funds for the work that Plan does around the world in countries like Guatemala.
